Special moments need to be noted

I was fortunate today to have a lovely lunch with the daughter of two former clients that I cared for.  We were joined by another geriatric care professional that had helped place the couple in a facility that would better suit their needs. It was amazing to reflect with the daughter about all the facets of care after many months dealing with the ever changing conditions her parents had faced. The daughter was beyond exceptional in how she looked out for her parents. As an owner of a caregiving company, I see many that have little or no help from family. This daughter and her loving husband demonstrate what we would all want from our children someday if faced with that challenge. The couple had the very best senior in home visiting doctor in town, they had wonderful home health services during their healing process,  and they had my companies care, which I’m proud to say was exceptional, as well as a wonderful placement specialist to find their new home. Seeing the efforts of what professionals brought into the healing process was truly remarkable, and being a part of it was inspiring. As the holidays get closer, this family can truly find peace in the New Year knowing they gave their parents the best. May we all be blessed this holiday season to reflect on what truly to be thankful for…
